My professional background and values

My name is Nikolina Zhekova – Nina. I hold Master’s degrees in Psychoanalysis and Intercultural Mediation from Paris, and in Philosophy from Sofia University. I have completed extensive training in Psychodrama Group Therapy and Family Therapy. I am a member of the Bulgarian Association for Family Therapy (BAFT) — https://www.baft.bg/.

I work in Bulgarian, English, and French, which allows me to connect with diverse cultures and perspectives. I effectively address issues such as panic attacks, anxiety and depressive disorders, family conflicts, identity crises, and existential challenges.

Psychotherapy is a process of awareness and personal transformation. I have deep respect for those who begin the courageous journey inward and I feel profound contentment when I facilitate personal grouth and positive change—something that we always achieve together with my patients through every sustained and completed therapy process.

Connecting with yourself

Psychotherapy can be individual or family sessions but it can also begin with practices for a meaningful life.

The truth is that therapy is not just an ordinary conversation, but a professional process that leads to deep understanding, awareness, meaningful change, and new solutions to old problems.

Modern People Mythology

The contemporary new age philosophy spreads countless ideas about love, personal happiness, freedom and independence that are inspiring but often unattainable.
Myths about unconditional love, positive thinking, the power of will, and eternal youth create unrealistic expectations and result in disappointment. It’s important to separate inspiring ideals from impossible illusions.
